Meet Levar Fisher - Retired Arizona Cardinal and New Orleans Saints - now a professional speaker. Levar grew up in a small eastern NC town with an appetite for burgers and a drive that his antagonists didn't count on. When bullies picked on Levar's size, our Athleader responded by winning a scholarship to play football at NC State, securing multiple ACC awards, including Defensive Player of the Year. Drafted from the Wolfpack in 2002 to play pro with the Arizona Cardinals, Levar captained that team and the Saints until an injury occurred just a few years later that ended his career. Ever the "pro," Levar took his story of "learning from mistakes" to school children and eventually to a corporate audience. As founder of Fisher of Men, 
Levar tackles homelessness and inspiring youth like he's still on the field. For living the dream where we can see it and for showing us all how we can be more than a pro, we honor Levar Fisher as our Athleader of the Month.
